Life
Today marks my 29th birthday. It was pretty low-key, just breakfast with my dad, and then dinner with the wife. Yesterday, we went and saw Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. Afterwards, we spent the night at my dad’s and he took us out to dinner at a local Japanese steakhouse. Other than that, just been playing it cool and reflecting on life in general.Friday night, I went star-gazing with a co-worker. He has a 6 foot tall telescope. I met up with him about 5 miles outside of town where the city lights won’t affect viewing the stars. It really makes you realize how insignificant we are in the whole scheme of the Universe. We looked at the Ring Nebula, as well as several other celestial objects. Timing this with my birthday has really made me come to appreciate all that I have in life, and kinda gives me focus to keep working on completing the rest of my goals. Just gotta keep trudging along, and I’ll get there eventually. I have to make sure not to miss anything along the way, because I’ve realized that the journey is just as interesting as the destination.~The Philosophical (and Old) Man
